A sumptious September, stacked solid with Swiss Songsters, Super Sports and Sunday Sessions!
So, full speed ahead into September... and what a bumper month it is!Alongside the usual suspects playing music every night of the week we have special guests OCEANWAVE who are dropping by from Switzerland as part of their tour around South East Asia. You can check out their sound by clicking here - but don't forget, Saturday 13th at the PoW may well be your only chance to catch them live!
And, of course, September is a fantastic month for sports lovers with both the AFL and the NRL reaching their climaxes... don't forget, AFL GRAND FINAL DAY is September 27th - watch Aussie Rules in a real Aussie Pub! Grand Final Day is always a good afternoon and, as last year, we will continue partying after the final whistle to the Aussie Pub Rock sounds of STINGEY LIL!
The following day is the other Grand Final, that of the NRL... and then in the evening we will be showing coverage of the inaugral SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX! And now that the EPL soccer season has restarted expect our sports coverage to be pretty much wall-to-wall over September weekends!
So that's the specials for the month, but don't forget our regular items too! Music is every day at the PoW, usually starting at 9pm... except on a Sunday where our ARCHIPELAGO SUNDAY SESSION takes place in the garden with $6 pints of Archipelago Samui beer from 2-7pm, free steak sandwiches from 3pm and live acoustic acts at 4pm. And if you have a band please get in touch with our Entertainment Manager (ents.pow@gmail.com) about being booked for our regular Monday "DISCOVERY" night where we let new bands strut their stuff and open up the mic to all-comers.
All in all, you'd have to be barking mad to miss it down at the PoW... so I'll see you all there soon!
